National Flour Mills Limited (NFM) has awarded scholarships to Sheliya Phillips and Joshua Greene under its Secondary Entrance Assessment (S.E.A.) Scholarship Award Programme. Each year, NFM invites its employees to apply for the scholarship on behalf of their children who wrote the S.E.A. exam. Sheliya and Joshua were both successful and will each receive a grant through forms 1 – 5 to help fund their secondary education provided they meet the criteria set out in the programme for each year.
NFM recently hosted its S.E.A. Awards Presentation Ceremony to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of all the students who submitted applications this year. Speaking at the event, NFM CEO, Kelvin Mahabir encouraged the students to pursue both academic and extra-curricular goals and to remain grounded in core values as they take the next educational step to becoming well-rounded, productive citizens.
