NFM joined in the global recognition of World Environment Day with Health and Environment Events at its Sports Club on June 4th and at its Carlsen Field location on June 6th. Staff were kept abreast of the company’s efforts to become more environmentally aware and responsible through its continuous improvement programme and other initiatives geared toward resource conservation and the reduction of waste and emissions.

NFM is committed to the global objective to reduce negative impacts on the environment and continues to improve its level of Corporate Environmental Responsibility (CER) through recycling, water conservation, energy conservation, pollution prevention and proper waste disposal.

World Environment Day is celebrated on the 5th of June every year. It is the United Nation’s principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment. At this year’s event, NFM also took the opportunity to focus on employee health and well-being by promoting the range of benefits available to employees. Patrons were treated to services provided by the Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society, Trinidad & Tobago Association for The Hearing Impaired (DRETCHI), Society for Inherited and Severe Blood Disorders (SISBD), Value Optical and Exhale Express.
