‘Informative and engaging’ was the consensus among form four students at Bishops Anstey High School East (BAHSE) following the Readiness & Employability Skills Workshop conducted at the school by National Flour Mills Limited (NFM) on March 24, 2026.

The event opened with a lively fashion strut to enliven participants. More than a mere showcase of office wear, this icebreaker segment reinforced the importance of personal confidence and marketing oneself from the outset.

Next were interactive sessions aimed at helping the students understand and practice the fundamentals of resume writing and interview skills. Other topics on the day included professional attire, office etiquette, and business communication.

Ms. Lisette Ngui, I.T./Technology Education Teacher and Form Four Dean at BAHSE, commended NFM on the workshop. She stated, “It was extremely relevant to our students for their personal development and will certainly contribute to their preparation for the world of work. We especially appreciated BAHSE alumna Krista Diaz sharing her experiences, which helped make the workshop even more meaningful and inspiring.”

Youth development is one of the pillars of NFM’s corporate social responsibility framework to bolster corporate visibility and strengthen community ties. In person stakeholder engagement also helps NFM employee volunteers develop crucial management and mentorship skills.
